    Huh???
It seems that MS has changed how that works. Earlier that always showed the initial user as "licensed to", the user you created when installing Windows, regardless how and if the install image was customized and what user and / or organizational information was set in answer file or otherwise present in install image.

Now in 10547 I noticed that it in my case shows "Windows User" and the organization, not user, set in answer file; I always customize my install images in Audit Mode with Sysprep, having that information always set.

Like this: I always set the value for RegisteredOrganization in Answer File but leave the value RegisteredOwner empty meaning it gets the default value Windows User. Until the last build this had nothing to do with what Windows showed as "licensed to", it was always shown as Kari (or whatever initial user I created when finally installing with this install image).

Now with build 10547 the "licensed to" information always comes from the values set in answer file:

In your case I suspect that you have not used an answer file to customize your install image, in which case both values have got the default value which in case of non-customized image are both Microsoft.

I am not at all sure if this is a valid explanation but at least in my case I can replicate this behavior and set both values to what I want to using an answer file as shown in above screenshot.

    Hi there
I think the licensed to : Windows user is because the build is a technical PREVIEW / EVALUATION and as such isn't licensed to an individual but to generic "Users" of the product so the default user is just fine. I'm not sure why you would want to customise this anyway as new builds will be coming out from time to time -- so IMO there's no point in sysprepping a load of these evaluation builds.

    Seems logical that way.

My 10547 keep on "losing" CD/DVD drive. After a while it just disappears and shows up again after restart. Tied usual remedies like uninstalling and reinstalling drivers for it but nothing helps. Never had problem like that before.

I have gone back to the RTM, this build has way too many bugs. When I restarted it, it would boot to a black screen then change to gray and back and forth till I manually shut down my PC. This happened way too many times and it is not good for my hard drive to continue to do this. I may go back when this new build comes out.

Because . . . just because. :) We all have our way of doing things, and Kari's no exception. He sets his system up as if it were a final release; thus, it's easier for him to notice idiosyncrasies within and either fix them or give feedback on new bugs, flaws or features.

Each time I do a clean install, I change things around to suit myself; that's the way I work. Same results as above but with a tad bit of a different flavor. One of these days I'll try the sysprep method too, but I'm not yet brave enough. :)

Strange, Mike. That's not a problem for me; however, I use the "Quick Launch Bar" and every so often, the icons will misrepresent themselves as a blank piece of paper. So far, I haven't seen a pattern of why they do it.

Bootup on this dual boot system is taking somewhat longer than usual; maybe a few seconds, but enough to be noticeable. Once I click on the OS (10 RTM or 10 Insider) I'm going to use that day, it opens almost immediately.

I will try the next build but if it has any problems I will go back again to the RTM and stay there. Thanks Cliff , at least I know I am not the only one having this issue.
