Yup, 10558 is a leak and it works great.
Glad to hear it works well, Jeff, but I'm not gonna try it. I'll wait. :)

Yes, it's RTM/Final public release, although with this new "final 10"/ last Windows ever, they'll have RTMs/Builds/Releases/Upgrades or whatever they may be called.

Question > Can someone with an RTM 10240 turn on Insider builds as LifeWulf/we have in advanced options? That's what strange to me about LifeWulf's system. Obviously he's not running an Insider build, but yet has that Advanced screen.
I can be the sacrificial lamby pie and turn it on with Lappy 15's RTM partition. I can always go back and reinstall 20240 later.

So, where can I get an ISO download? I'm assuming the most recent one available is the Insider version of 10240?

I told him to "Be sure to read everything you can before downloading so you get exactly what you need."

Actually, I'm pretty sure LifeWulf is smart enough to know that anyway. Even though I'm prone to overstate the obvious.
Actually I was wrong when I stated I had no problem with previous builds. I did have build 10240 upgrade from previous build when MS wanted us to upgrade rather than fresh install, so they cut off the ISO channel. The build simply would not boot. Just sat there. This was a day after they blocked the ISO. I asked a member who obliged to give me his ESD to ISO to use and as a result I lost Activation. Therefore, LifeWulf, be careful. I would advise to get the 10240 ISO and go from there. It will upgrade to 10547 or the next build eventually.

I had to take my 8.1 and upgrade to 10240, which then activated and then load my 8.1 back on my other partition. It took quite some time.

She's in there getting about a month's worth of updates, so once that's finished, I'll restart. Everything's set to go.

OK, just getting something to be sure this is pointed at you, LifeWulf:

One more question I didn't think of before. And I hate to ask, but did you upgrade from Windows 7 or 8.1? And if you didn't, did you ever stop Insider builds once you got to Build 10240?

I'm not sure this will make a difference on Insider builds, but others may know.

I upgraded from the 8.1 that came on this laptop. During the setup (got the laptop brand new, none of that silly "we'll set it up for the customer first") I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10 from within the setup. I agreed.

However, on my desktop, I'm having the same issue, same build and everything, and after upgrading from 8.1 I immediately "reset" the PC, wiping all files and programs, effectively making it a clean install. I was on the Insider Preview program on Windows 8.1... I think. Any way to make sure?

I don't really want to wipe either computer just to test, but I can try to do a clean install on a separate partition (will it let me do that? The same licence on two partitions?).
