I just mentioned them as non-storage USB devices that behave strangely after trying to eject storage ones. Mouse and keyboard are not ejectable devices so they don't show up in eject menu.
I use one for input from satellite TV STB and other one for security camera, in all other scenarios they are ejectable but not after eject attempt of storage USBs.
My security system and security video storage is independent from the PC's (self contained )and I have Dish sat STB's not connected to the Web or PC's here so I'm not having any problems like that * here* although the potential could be there otherwise I would imagine .

Not to stray from thread theme but I use my main PC as center for everything, from entertainment (TV, music, movies, games) to communication etc., so it's essential for everything on it to work fine.

Sure that's understandable they can do all that fine ( most of the time ) ☻

I have the daily driver in here on 10547 /RTM and aside from being on the LAN and feeding a 27" QHD screen it's hooked up to ouboard 5.1 system and hedaphone DAC/Amp and the TV over 1080p HDMI in here along with an SW /VHF /UHF SDR reciever and the Win 10 Roku UI and Netflix apps linked to the Roku for the TV . It can do all that at once and surf the web standing on its head and its an old Phenom II x4 . configurationin here .

I might put an SSD in it just because (very likley ) and Maybe put an Intel board and a decent Core i5 or i7 CPU in it later or an 8 core AMD FX but it doesent need it for what I ask of it and it multi taskes well on Win 10.

Maybe the next test build will have a fix for the USB and some other issues OTOH it may present some new ones also seen it happen and MS sez ( see ) we heard you and fixed whatever .............however someting else is broken now ☻☻

Is this preview build still available for Insiders; returned from holiday 2 weeks ago to see it had been released the week previously but don't seem to be able to get it.

The pre-RTM builds are not afaik, though once an insider, still an insider, so once RTM activated, others up through 10547 (fast ring) ought to be available. There seems to be a certain stickiness to windows update - the system seeking an update may need to be on line logged on for a period of time, in order for clicking UPDATE to find one. At least I think, so, not sure..
AFAIK the post-10547 stuff is leaked, some of it, but NOT on Update yet.

There might be a better thread to ask this question in. This thread is specifically about preview build 10547, which I don't think that you are running.

Eldho, if you're a Windows Insider, look at this group: Windows Insider - Windows 10 Forums and post there.

If you've updated to Windows 10 RTM Build 10240, and you're not an Insider, then you should first try the Network and Sharing group: Network and Sharing - Windows 10 Forums If that's not the best fit for your issue, the admins will move it for you. When any of us click on it (including you), we'll be taken to where your question was moved to.

    Hope this helps.

Did you upgraded from 7/8.1 to 10240? If you did, you can try to reset your "Get Insider builds" and restart your PC few more times. Make sure you sign in with MSA. It did work for me.
