This is great news
I have had flash set to 'ask to activate' for a good while, and don't even have the java plug-in installed

Firefox uses Yahoo search as their default. What is Google going to do with YouTube?
The stadard protocol on youtube has long been changed to html5, youtube is not dependant on flash anymore.
I'm not in "love" with adds either but some strategically placed, localized, well made adds can be of benefit. Many times I found about new products thru adds and also got some juicy deals. I'm one of those that never dismisses out of hand and throw away mail in adds but check them for deals first. It did pay handsomely few times. What I don't like are intrusive adds that pop up in the middle of browsing and require action to close. Those ones i dismiss with prejudice and try to avoid the site in the future. Ads like that are counterproductive at best.
