The comments are hilarious. Worth the price of admission alone

It's amazing that people really don't seem to get how crazy they sound.

I'm not the tinfoil conspiracy theorist type, but I think a healthy dose of skepticism is appropriate. Something about Microsoft's strategy with 10 has never quite smelled right. Kinda reminds me of the plot from Kingsman: The Secret Service. And the scorn and ridicule from those pointing fingers at the paranoid reminds me of that quote I hate- "Never look a gift horse in the mouth." Why TF not? Of course you should look- maybe then you have a chance to protect yourself before it's too late.
    . . . Really. . .

Maybe someone should come up with a new online pub called: "Ultra Waves Beamed into Your Mind Courtesy of MS!"? The cautionary notes would read: "Please wrap yourself in aluminum foil if you should have any utter feelings of.. freakin out man!"

Funny how often somebody who isn't doing anything that would interest anybody is one who thinks Microsoft's biggest concern is spying on him.

I would still insist on closing the doors and windows when I go out, MS need to be more open and convince me to use Win10, as it is, nah...

I have shut off the auto update in Windows Update, and can schedule a reboot out a week or so, it appears. (I believe this is a Pro feature.) I also wish I had more control than that, but It Is What It Is.

I have shut off the ability to pass around updates from my PC. That's a bandwidth concern more than anything.

If I were terribly worried about spying and Microsoft snooping on me, I should also probably take a sledgehammer to my Android phone.

Excellent article to push back from all the FUD.

I can understand they need to know certain information about me to provide services efficiently to me but I don't like they share those info to "trusted partners", I wonder who are these trusted partners.

I am looking at this like that one commenter did objectivity. I kind of agree with commenter the policy should of stated if it was Microsoft stuff or just an xbox or skype related privacy policy. The commenter thinks the author interpreted the polices differently.

Zdnet & Cnet is owned by CBS? Would you download from Cnet?

What needs to be done is a test from a 3 party at an independent lab to see what is & isn't transmitted online if any that would solve the issue for those worried about using 10 for banking, & shopping. Also, do the same for those windows 7 & 8.1 with the telemetry updates installed. It is spreading that Microsoft doing the same things with those.

Maybe we will all find out when we hear from the top privacy group in U.K. and the U.S. (EFF).
