    so, can anyone suggest a way to fix this, or is it wipe/clean install city as my only option?

    I would do a clean install of 10240 then start it from there again!

    Well, I would have hoped you made a backup of the OS before you "fixed" those security settings. Did you?? If not do a clean install and don't try to "fix" the security settings again.

    On Privacy Settings there seems no "Default" that can be recovered!

    Thanks.. but my moto is when I make any OS change I make sure that I can undo the fix I tried. Too many times things go wrong.. and to the best of us.
