You should be able to do that, Magilla, but what with all the nasties that seem to be popping up with 10525 and 10532 updates/installation, only the Shadow knows!
thanks, Wynona. So are you saying maybe I don't want to go there? Just leave it alone for a while? I just want to stay on Insider status. I am on insider status on my desktop. I just found a 10532 install.esd and was about to make an iso from it. Yes? No?

    Make the ISO, Magilla! :)

Question: Has the laptop ever been on Insider status before? Some have said that if the computer hasn't been in the Insider Program before, it won't activate.

I can't test because I don't have a computer that hasn't had an Insider Preview on it.

Edit: Windows 10 has corrupted all my computers! :)

Yes, it has been on insider since January! And this last version 10532 did corrupt the laptop on which it resides. It is on second disk -- first disk is Windows 7. It crashed and corrupted my Windows 7, also. But thanks for backup of Windows 7 it is up and running and backed up again! So, being a glutton for punishment I am going to reinstall 10532 and see where it leads me.

Wynona, I am back on. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Yes, I am a glutton. But I am back on. This time I kept being asked for key code but at the end it recognized me as an insider so I'm good to go again until the next crash.

Fantastic! As a FYI, you're supposed to skip, tell it "later" and/or click on Next. Can't remember everything.

If you have it locally, yes; but the old builds will not activate...

. Can I reinstall ISO 10240 then update from there? That is the last ISO I created from install.esd. I want that computer back on insider since it is laptop.

Thanks. I went ahead and reinstalled the crashed version, build 10532, and have it up and running. It did ask me for a keycode but I by passed that, it asked again later, I bypassed it again, and it did activate. I have been a insider since January so this computer has seen many builds since then. But I do appreciate your response.:)
