A fresh new Firefox redesign is here

It looks like Firefox is repeating Chrome and Edge. My Default System Font don't work with Firefox and it looks like crappier than before.

Yuk they made it look like chrome and I hate chrome
Firefox was its own individual look and feel, now they are going down the same path as crappy Microsoft Edge and Chrome Noooooo.
Gone all white and Plain I don't like it.
I wouldn't be surprised if statistically people preferred every interface to look the same, people can be very averse to change. This new interface makes almost all of my custom themes look like s**t. It's mainly because of that all too thin rectangle around tabs, but also because address and search bars now use a default teal highlight colour. It's possible that those two can be modified, but it's unlikely that some older, less popular themes get updated.

Whole bunch of tweaks, etc., here: Firefox... taming the beast !
Short version...
browser.proton.enabled = False
browser.aboutwelcome.design = False
browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled = False (bookmarks spacing)

Disabling proton breaks the hamburger menu, its position is too far in the right at 1440p. I tried restarting the browser and restoring a default theme.
What is the "aboutwelcome.design" for? I don't have that entry at all.

The aboutWelcome thing is the first thing you see when you upgrade to FF 89. It gives you three choices, one of which was dark mode I believe.
As for the hamburger menu... you can turn that on and off in the userChrome.css file.

Thanks. Don't need the tweaker, about:config will fix all.

I'm using Firefox 89 on Linux and it seems to work well I did have to disabled hardware acceleration in the browser performance settings.
It's really different and I guess we'll have to wait and see what the days and weeks ahead bring with Firefox 89.
