The anticipation for a refresh of Microsoft's first party hardware is almost palpitating. After the recent launch of Windows 10, and the expected arrival of Windows 10 Mobile in the October/November timeframe, all eyes are now on the devices that Microsoft will use to showcase its new software platforms.

A new rumor by WPDang is now making the rounds on the internet, claiming that Microsoft is going to host a consolidated event to introduce its hardware refreshes to the world in October. This is mostly in line with the exclusive reveal by Brad Sams a few weeks ago.The list of devices expected at this event is long - and sure to please fans eagerly waiting for the next round of hardware to come out of Microsoft's labs.

First off, we have the Surface Pro 4. It has been over a year now since the Surface Pro 3 was made available and the premium two-in-one from Microsoft is long overdue. While none of the specifications have been confirmed by Microsoft, it is quite likely that the fourth iteration of Microsoft's vision for the future of computing will come with a Skylake processor and a refreshed keyboard...
