I'm thinking the RealTek Ethernet controller issue is a matter of the RealTek drivers not installing properly when Windows attempts an automatic install--such as when upgrading to a new build. Every time I install a new build my 2.5GB Realtek Ethernet controller won't stay connected more than a few minutes before it disconnects--using the Troubleshooter puts the driver online again, but not permanently, as it disconnects in a couple of minutes, also.
However, using the device manager/selecting your network driver/update drivers/Browse drivers on this computer/, and selecting either the Microsoft or the Realtek driver and hitting Next to install it--results in a permanent fix for this problem, I've found. So the flaw is in the way Win10 is installing the Realtek drivers (doesn't matter where the driver comes from) automatically--even the troubleshooter gets it wrong. But going through the device manager manually works every time--I get no disconnects, and it survives cold booting repeatedly with no problems. IE, the Realtek Ethernet device stays up like it is supposed to. Definitely a Windows problem, imo.

Hi, could you check the level and date of your Network Realtek Driver ? I don't seem to have any of the problems described with Realtek Ethernet adapter, this is the driver loaded with Build 21327.
Does the driver date and version change when you reload it from the available ones in your PC ?

For me, after a new build is installed, the network begins to fail. I have to reinstall the Realtek driver, by running the Install_Win10_10046_01212021.exe and repair. Then the the network stabilizes, before that the gateway randomly gets lost.@waltc,

If you guys who are having this problem will take my advice and install a driver (Microsoft or RealTek) manually through the Device Manager--instead of using an exe install or relying on the Troubleshooter, you'll find that your 2.5GB NIC no longer loses connection or loses the Gateway. I had both problems--this solved them, permanently. Takes all of five seconds to do it...
The driver versions don't seem to matter--I installed a Microsoft driver from 2015 manually--and it is rock-stable--when manually installed through the DM. It's the method of installation that matters, I've found. Apparently, something is broken in the automatic install function in Windows in certain hardware configurations for the RealTek NIC drivers.
