How are you guys running multiple versions of the W10IPs?

One of VMs upgraded to b10240 (a couple of weeks ago) but none of the others show any inclination to upgrade from their current versions (e.g. b10122).

No worry here! I missed out on trying out the earlier builds and have a full system image backup of the RTM as well as being set up in a dual boot with 7 on a separate drive. If able to download separately then you also have the option for running the newer build on a VM to see what's new. :)

I ended up having to reinstall windows 7, on a new HDD, and then upgrade to 10, as on my rolling back to 10240, several MS Apps, including the Store failed to work (and had long names with Manifest in them.).
I tried refreshing Windows, but the PC encountered errors, and would only reboot and diagnose, before BSODing...

Here's how to disable device drivers in Windows 8 and 10. There's an official link from Microsoft, but I didn't find it yet. These instructions from a Microsoft MVP will probably help, though.

I've cut and pasted the instructions, but here's the link:

Disable automatic device driver download in Windows 10

Windows 8 and Windows 10 download device drivers by default. But in some situations you don’t want that, such as:

• Newer drivers are causing issues with your system
• You want to use the original driver instead of the driver Windows provides you
• You want to see if the old driver works better.
• You got a newer driver then Windows provides.

There are many more situations, but those are the most common ones. We will explain how you can disable the automatic download of drivers in Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Disable Automatic Device Driver Download

1. Open File Explorer and go to This PC.
2. Then click on System Properties

3. Under the Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings group, click on Change settings.

4. Click on the Hardware tab.
5. Under the the Device Installation Settings group, click on Device Installation Settings

6. Now click on No, Let me choose what to do, then select Never Install Drivers from Windows Update.
7. Click on Save Settings, a system reboot is then necessary for the changes to take effect.

To enable the automatic download again, just repeat steps 1 trough 5 and then choose Yes, do this automatically
