That just sends you to a page on MS's website that basically tells you to reinstall Win 8. Is that the bottom line or is there a better way (like just entering your serial # or something)?

Ok, great... it did let me opt out easily once I rolled back to the previous version.

I guess if you want to opt out, make sure you do it before they start updating you.

    Thanks for the advice.

    I wasn't aware!

    I'm not receiving it.
Now that is strange, Edwin! Very strange!

You decided to go back to Preview Builds Jeff? :)
You didn't seriously think he would leave the Insider Program, did you Jody?

Kari has stated a new convention. "Insiders" and "Outsiders".

I will stay an "Outsider" for now as I clean up two updated systems with a clean install of Windows 10. Then upgrade the wife's W7 system to W10 and then clean it up also. Too much to do before I go back "Inside"

Not really, Phone Man. Kari was replying to and repeating what someone else said; who had already pegged non-insiders as "outsiders".

I'm not sure I like the term "outsiders"; it just seems kind of insulting to those who never were or chose not to remain Insiders.

Installed new build and everything seems ok except it de-activated my Bitdefender (said it was incompatible with this build).
It didn't tell me anything, but I kind of just left the computer alone with the installation, so maybe it did and I didn't see it. Anyhoo, it seems that one program I "think" I had installed isn't any more.

Yeah, the 64bit version of Chrome seems to have major issues with this build... The 32bit version works fine
    you can use this switch
    --no-sandbox

and this will allow it to run. It's been flagged on Insider feedback and google team is now aware as well.

I switched to slow ring a week ago. This is all I'm getting

Unless you switch to the fast ring, you probably won't get it until sometime next week. BTW, it may have been Build 10525 that took out Movie Maker, since I'm pretty sure I didn't do a clean install after the 13th. I've also seen several folks saying this or that was killed off because it was incompatible.

So, it does look like some programs are falling victim to Windows 10.

I updated to the new insider version today and now cannot open any of my Office apps. Went to leave feedback and it prompts me to change a privacy setting which doesn't exist before it will allow me to use the feedback tool.

Probably going to be jumping ship on the insider program.
Which version of Office do you have, Drybonz? I just checked my Office 365 2016 Technical Preview and everything 's working fine.
