Got this in a newsletter early this morning:
Windows 10: This is 2020's last 2004 and 20H2 optional update, says Microsoft | ZDNet
Bottom line guys, is there any reason for the average home user to update if everything is working 100%? Friends are asking me and I honestly don't know what to tell them lol. I have 20H2 .631.
I Upgraded a Notebook from 1903 to 2004 yesterday, the .NET was installed and 20H2 awaiting but the Restart popped up, I delayed the Restart until 20H2 finished, only needed the one. I have seen it with every update I've done to .661 and .662, believe the .NET isn't being coordinated with other updates properly.
If I do update what are the chances of it screwing up my network?
Who for sure knows that answer? We see a lot of 'chatter' about issues but how many are not having issues? Every use of technology affects people [in different ways and there is no consensus/survey that counts those who have no problems. I have an in-house/non-server-based Network consisting of 5 Desktops, 2 NAS drives and 2 Printers Wired to the Router and Wireless computers at various times, no issues. The functional beauty of this setup is that no one computer has to be connected at any one time.
Total 13 minutes, back and running, thanks everyone.
