Since this is the first version to be delivered by updates or a media creation tool you have to expect it will need time to be worked out fully as well as being the brand new Windows.
That is what I am hoping for. Some of the errors during the first few days seemed to resolve themselves but a couple of new ones have shown up but not in the vast numbers as before but I still can have 40+ with a restart but sometimes only 10. I have been banging away at this thing over the last couple of days and the overall speed seems to be improving. Restart is still very slow when compared to when it was on 8.1

I find a good deal of what type of performance you end up with is how you treat your system as far as how much you load it up with as well as how well it is maintained in addition to the type of system you have. Many hated Vista labeling the old one there a "dog" until getting past the pair of 256mb dimms and moving onward to a pair of 1gb dimms or more. Likewise getting into the 4gb+ club for the 64bit Windows will be noticeable.

The leap is seen there when moving up from 2gb to 4gb where it is noticed much more then going from 4gb to 6gb or 8gb unless running large programs or a large number of startups are seen. I suspect once more of the updates like the service release seen last monday are out the fixes seen in them will be a large help over time in seeing 10 perform better.

So far only the upgrade process has been the real drama with the first machine while the second is running well having seen both a clean install and upgrade take place now in a dual boot. I found 10 is actually more dual boot friendly too compared to the headaches that had been seen when trying it with the 8 Customer Preview and both 7 and 8 became loaded drive errors!

So far for me (fingers crossed, knock on wood) W10 has been just as stable as 7 was for me. 7 never BSOD on me (until the new RAM that I got turned out to be bad) and all the programs that I ran on it were rock stable, and so far they're all doing exactly the same on 10 and I've not had any freezes or crashes thus far. So far for me after an initial hiccup with permissions, I'd have to say that if I didn't know better somebody could tell me that this is Windows 7 with a Stardock Windowblinds theme applied to it and I'd tend to believe them without looking further into it.
I was wondering what network adapter you are using on your system. Mine won't work with Win10, other than that Win10 is working fine.

One thing I found right off about 10 is even before I could look for any newer updates for the separate sound card on the main build on the second case plus board drivers for both 10 found and installed them! i heard sound right off the bat while on every other previous version even when looking at the 8 CP dual boot with 7 I had to tend to getting the latest drivers and apps no less to work on the then new to come version following a full clean install.

With 10 it has been mostly the other softwares mainly since it located installed the drivers for a long discontinued tv tuner card even as well as the nic card on the main and onboard Lan on the other. Now to see if the usb WiFi adapter will connect automatically once the lan is undone! Have to add a new drive into the second single drive case and will be plugging in the wireless usb plugin for the router the laptops use not the cable company's upgraded modem/router combo.

Well, I gave it a try for 2 weeks....drove me crazy...!! Would not play video or my music, then NO sound from speakers.... After spending about an hour on the phone, with support, I somehow got video to play, but still no sound.....

Finally, yesterday, I'd had enough and reverted back to 8.1

Maybe I'll try later when they work out the bugs.....!!

I doubt that was caused by bugs in Windows 10. Most likely it's caused by problems due to doing an in-place upgrade. Try a fresh reinstall of Windows 10. Of course you need to do a fresh reinstall after an in-place upgrade to get it for free.
