Hi there
@

I don't think that's always true -- I've never yet heard anyone --at least where I live complaining if after an election Taxes of one sort or another actually DECREASE. !!!
Although in some ways it's true -- XP became a really popular os but on introduction XP was almost universally loathed with the tag Windows e(XP)ensive !!!
Windows NT was hopeless for consumers --was called Windows Neanderthal !!!.
W7 had a bit better reception but W8 really did irritate so many users it almost destroyed the brandname Microsoft -- professional users dodn't want their OS to become a "Giant Mobile phone" system with no hierarchial menus etc (try running Photoshop with no hierarchial menuing system but just having to endlessly scroll about 97 zillion tiles !!).
Certain types of change is obviously bad for a huge number of people but if a product is good people will with some decent proper selling come to like it and embrace its use.
After the W8 fiasco I was relieved to see W10 going back(almost) to its roots -- although we don't need a load of those crummy store apps installed by default on a professional version of the OS.
Anyway to old timers
you might remeber this gag about W8 !!!!
