, But did you do it via WU or UUPDump?
It completed with WU in the end. The threat of uupdump did the trick.

UUPDUMP ISO succeed. I have no desisre to revert to 18990 and try WU again. I have not decided whether to try Hypler-V once again or just go with VMware. I'll think about when I'm in Linux again.

In light of the above positive comments, giving this build a go. Quick download this time and install up to 91% in 40 mins...Successful, in 50 mins. Sound/Graphics all okay, makes a nice change (PC is from 2012 so getting old now but SSD's I'm sure speed everything up)

Mine went very smoothly as usual with one exception. On the Update and Security Tab of the Settings there is no longer an option to Check Updates. Instead of the option Windows Update, The first option is Delivery Optimization. Haven't run into this problem before.

Successfully updated my desktop using WU on first attempt. All seems well, but very little checking done. (I'm partially immobilized while recovering from surgery.) I also updated my Surface Pro 5, which was running Release Preview. Success at first attempt.
SP5 took about 2 hours. I didn't time the desktop, but it was quicker than the Surface.

I installed this update earlier this morning and although all seemed OK (winver says its correct version) it reports that the update failed in WU history.

Update says the download is now 'pending again' and so I try force the update and it returns with an error message message that it can not be completed at this time.

I try again and get a Security Intelligence update, however now my update history has deleted the supposed failed update from the history list and only shows Build 18990 as the last update installed. Winver still says 18995 is installed.

Update succeeded on second try...WHY not first try as nothing has been changed since....a bloody mystery!

Very weird. Update history said the update failed but winver disagreed. Showed 18995.1.
Checked for updates - none, up to date.
Re-checked history and failed entry gone and no success entry for 18995! Last entry is for 18990.
Have same issue - very strange.
