And for me, so far, everything just works in both 18362.325 and 18965.1005.

On all my machines. The ones I use regularly and the ones I don't.

I do agree that not enough of us have tested the September/October release, since I have Skippy on the second partition here. I may have to do something about that, but things are good and I'm not sure I want to change.
Yeah. 18965 is causing me all sorts of issues on both Intel based machines, but none on my AMD machine. I've even got a brand new look at adding optional features from the Settings --> Apps & Features --> Optional features page. On 18965 on my AMD-based Lenovo, which has given me the fewest issues since upgrading, if you're on the optional features page, and you click the plus button to add features, a new window pops up - with a list of all the available features - and with checkboxes - so you can select multiple items and then add them all at once. Neither Intel-based machine that was upgraded to 18965 has that. I suspect that both of those installs were not completed correctly for whatever reason. I'm fixing the one now (my desktop), and hopefully next weekend, which is a long weekend, I'll have the opportunity to re-do the Dell.

I think it was a huge mistake for MS not to have 19H2 on Fast and 20H1 on Skippy only, even if 19H2 isn't a full upgrade. There's too big a chance this will come back to bite them... and us.
Well, them and the regular users who upgrde to 1909 / 1910 / wtf they call it. I'll still be ahead of the curve, s o to speak....

The German thing works until you mess with Folder Options again, which still won't save choices, then it fecks everything up again!!!
So, set every thing you want in folder options, and use the German thing last - and don't go back into folder options again.

I kind of agree, Larc. I really don't want any more Whoopsies!
Lol - If you, me, and the rest of us *REALLY* didn't want any whoopsies, we'd have ditched Windows a long, Long, LONG time ago....

    Just saying...

Yeah. I wasn't trying to make a correlation that Intel = failed 18965 install, just the my 2 Intels had issues, my AMD did not. Sorry, I was pretty sketchy in that post.

But that is just one more indication that both the Intel-based machines had faulty upgrades to 18965 - not having that checkbox optional features.

Tried it that way too, doesn't survive a fresh boot!

Edit: this is from my 18362.325 machine. I'll run over and boot into the 18965.1005 machine and brb.

Edit # 2: That's strange! The list on Build 18965 has the checkmarks, but not on Build 18362.325! I went back to check that I'd really clicked on the + sign!

Yeah, all of my computers except for Little Lenovo (Intel) are AMD based.

Are these check boxes? Could be, maybe . . . but then again . . .

No, it's a new window that pops up and there are clear check boxes to the left of each item - allowing you to check off items and install them all at once. I'll fire up the Lenovo and grab screenshots.

(Also - it's funny how all your machines are AMD except the Lenovo, and all mine are Intel ... except the Lenovo....)

Went back to build 18963, feels better as a whole especially performance and navigating wise, less choppy in my opinion.

Just noticed on this build [18965]:

Nod32 Antivirus 12.2.23.0 won't scan anything on demand!

    At least for me.
