[QUOTE=lehnerus2000;330924]You could try this tutorial as a workaround:

Thanks, yeah ive done that, but its still limited. I would like full colour choice using a colour wheel, as well as font and size changing.

It is unlikely you will get your wish. In order to enhance performance to the extent that even lower powered hardware performs more snappily than it did in heavyweights like 7 and Vista, appearance and customization options have been severely cut back, and will continue to do so as legacy desktop features such as the control panel and Administrative tools get subsumed into Windows modern settings.

Perhaps Microsoft is secretly working on a "Desktop Shell"* app that will run on top of Windows to give back the customizability of Windows versions of the mid to late Noughties, at a price of course, requiring the sort of hardware resources that you aspire to! I doubt it, though.

*Microsoft cannot use that name, though - It was a bit of fun from IBM in about 1995 that made Windows 3.1 look exactly like OS/2.1, by replacing Program Manager, the Windows front end, with IBM's OS/2 Desktop lookalike.
Agreed but i live in hope. Im sure that Start10 and ClassicShell will be around for some time due to this limitation. As i said even Apple did not force an OS on phone/pads and computers. They are 2 different work environments. What i can do on a phone/pad/surface is small compared to what i can do on a desktop/laptop. I cant imagine modeling/animating/compositing on a phone/pad/surface, its not going to happen and neither should it.

Well, technically Microsoft DID try this. Does Surface RT ring a bell? We all know how well that ended up.

The problem is that Microsoft's "app store" is a joke. And what's even worse is that Microsoft thought it would be a good idea to put their "apps" on a desktop OS (See Windows 8.0).

MS own Apps are pure gold comparing to most other ones in the store. Weather, News, Mail etc. are direct replacement for Gadgets many where filling up their desktops with. I don't see them as a distraction at all, they run in their own space and don't influence performance as much as Gadgets, safer too. They are also faster and easier to access, don't have to drop to desktop (that I rarely see anyway).
Best of all, you can turn them off or get rid of them.

Hey guys, I haven't installed Windows 10 yet and have a question regarding this Service Release 1.

After this SR 1 release, will the installer automatically download that update during the Windows 10 upgrade or would I have to install it afterwards? How would I know that the upgrade contains the SR 1?

If you download windows after SR is released to general public, most likely it will be included. Judging by past experience, it should download during installation if available at that time, or maybe right after, in any case it should be automatic. As MS has started new trend in update policy and this is going to be first SR, I don't think anybody can say for sure.
