My Surface Pro 3 just now installed the cumulative update for x64 systems, and now it seems that the rotation lock in tablet mode broke. It is disabled in the Action Center, and I am unable to turn it on. This used to work fine, and I use it a lot.
Anyone else seeing this?
EDIT: It is disabled also in desktop mode.
SOLVED: I had to go into Settings > Display and turn rotation lock on there. Then it showed up as turned on in the Action Center, and now I can turn it on or off from there.
That was a fairly substantial update. I got mine installed, no problems so far. I use the "Notify to reschedule restart" option. I miss the advise and let me choose option, but I notice there's an uninstall update option in the update history. I wonder if that would just put you in an uninstall / auto re-install loop ...
Downloading and installing now while there's a break in the International before next matches.
Hi Gang,
Latest post launch Security update out: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081424)
Just FYI, had a scare on my main system installing, got the irq less than or equal on a driver for my CH Products stuff (CHDRIVER01.SYS) prompting a restart loop.
After two of them, I pulled the USB cables tot eh joystick, throttle and pedals, and got a windows failed to load correctly screen, then opted to restart the PC, figuring the devices were no longer plugged in.
That worked, it booted back to the desktop, had lost my BT again, got that back and saw that the updates had been applied, checking again I was up to date, and checking history showed it was successfully applied.
Plugged in my CH stuff and back in business.
Just in case others encounter the same ....
Say it is a little similar to this idea, if just added other updates like drivers you were concerned about to the options in Windows update http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...-in-windows-10
