That option was there TC but no dice, I've tried five times tonight and it's failed five times. I'll give up on this one
Yeah, you may have to invent a plan "B", or maybe "X". Odd....that option, if there, usually means it really wants to update something before restart. The "Configuring Updates" phase. Did you ever see that when doing the Restart from the update page? If so, did it go real fast?

Thinking you might need to try an ISO approach and forget the WU for this one. Delete the contents of the Download directory and in-place upgrade over it with an ISO.

I may give the in place upgrade a go TC but not tonight, I've had enough of it for now
I think you are spot on with your comment about it wanting to update something before restart, The configuring updates phase only reached 18% then the PC rebooted but the next configuring phase never happened and it went straight to the login screen. This happened each time I tried.

You're about to hit the sack, so take a whack at it in the a.m. Cheers.....

Me? I don't have Slow Ring. Just Fast, Skippy, and Release Preview. I'm old and senile Andre....but not Slow.

    Can't install - past 18% configuration

The install process can't get past "configuring 18%", then I get a restart and I'm back to 17763.316.

    Help!

That's exactly the same as I'm getting, still trying to figure a way round it.

    Update: Can't install - past 18% configuration

On 4th attempt, configuration got through 100% followed by restart. Long black screen with two minutes of disk activity followed by restart -- then back to 17763.316.

    I quit.

Before you quit.... quick question. You say you go back to 17763.316. That is the current up to date public release, not Slow or Fast or any flavor of Insider. Even Release preview is at 17763.346, after a cumulative the other day. How are you updating a Slow Ring build on a stable public release. I'm a little confused. Thanks.
