    Anyone noticing slowdowns and cpu fan sky-rocketting in heavy multitasking scenarios? It seems that along with task scheduler no tasks showing, there's still quite a few bugs to squash. Although I must say the pc is dead stable, no bugchecks or anything. Some built in apps do fail to update, but that seems understandable

    I have NO IDEA what you did to setup your google assistant, ..
    There in is the problem. I was fine until a month ago, no GA just the way I like it. I did no setup/configuration because that is the least thing I want when GA offered. Grant you some people need help, I am capable of doing most things myself and don't need/want "an assistant" Same goes for Cortana. GA has not bothered me since I locked it down.

    I understand, some people like it, and some people don't. But executives don't hire assistants because they can't do the things the assistant will do, they hire them so they can be more efficient, and the assistant can do things to free up the executive for other things. It's the same with GA. So, just as a parting note, it has nothing to do with your capabilities. It's more about getting things done more efficiently, or quick information.
    Of course you can Google anything you want to look up on your computer, but asking it is easier, faster and less disruptive to what you are working on at the time; multitasking. That's why I have a Google home speaker. I can find out the traffic before I head to work, and get alternate routes. Or the weather forecast so I know how to dress. I can have it play music without me needing to click around on the computer to do it. I can ask it to translate phrases in other languages if needed. I can get current news events local, national or world, without having to disrupt what I am doing on my computer. I can have it make phone calls for me, just by telling it the number I want it to dial, without me having to go get my phone I left in the den... It can do complex math problems without me having to pull up a calculator. It can reset my Nest thermostat to heat or cool my home, without me needing to get up and disrupt what I am working on, or even when I am away from my home. It can turn on my tv, while I'm still in bed. It can turn my lights on or off all over my house, even if I'm not home...
    So it has nothing to do with my capabilities. It has everything to do with efficiency and/or the ability to do what you can't do without it. It gives me up to the minute flight information when I am traveling. It saves me on my electricity bill, and allows me to check my house even when I am in another state. There are thousands of things it can do to make my life more efficient and run smoother, like set appointments for me and manage my personal and business calendars. I can set alarms, reminders, timers and events. It can read my emails to me, while I am getting ready for work, ask my reply and send it. It's an incredible invention! So when I hear you say it's bothersome to you, for me, that's like someone making an argument against automobiles, who would rather use a horse and buggy. This isn't meant to be offensive, but just for informational purposes, and my humble opinion. Finally, I've only listed a small amount of things this GA can do, there are thousands more. You might be very surprised by all the things it is capable of, especially compared to Cortana.

    Love my Google Home Max!

    Cortana is clumsy.

    EDIT:
    Google Home can control playback of media apps on your PC, there's sort of a glitch though, you have to Bluetooth the audio to the Home unit, then back to your PC speakers, then Google Home will pause and skip tracks!

    Thanks but it's a problem of the build, several insiders have already reported it in the feedback hub:
    @LEOPEVA64:
    Sleep function works fine here, the pc wakes up just fine, as does hibernation
    I would try the troubleshooting steps i mentioned.

    Absolutely. It's not perfect by any means, but with the short time it's been around, what it can do is pretty amazing.

    So true! Thus the lengthy off-topic discussion. Lol.

    Did we notice, the Start Menu goes further up the Screen than before?

    Anybody use 'TidyTabs', (in lieu of Sets)?

    I have Tabs embedded in the frame, some times on top; very random!
