As soon as the rollout begins the Media Creation Tool will be updated to download the 1809 ISO.
It seems to be Microsoft's usual practice to roll out a new version on the third Tuesday of the month, a week after the 'Patch Tuesday' cumulative updates. But don't count on it - 1803 was delayed until 30th April as a bug was discovered at the last minute.
Thanks for the detailed info, I'll wait then cause I'm in no rush to re-install with about a month and half before the update rolls out.

Windows Update
Perhaps one of the most frustrating aspects about Windows 10 is trying to install updates while you’re working on your computer. Starting with version 1809, if you have an update pending, Windows 10 will use an updated “reboot logic” to be more “adaptive and proactive.” Using machine learning, Microsoft has trained a “predictive model” to accurately predict when is the right time to restart the device.
This major update twice a year is getting old rather quickly, once a year would be more than enough.
I don't know - every 6 months you get a load of people with broken upgrades adding to traffic.
Personally I find it dull - none of the updates/upgrades are interesting and if there is something minor interesting it is hidden under pointless fluff about improvements to the Edge bowser.
I was excited abut Windows 10 - I'm not excited about build whatever.
Pretty sure the Oct. update will be Oct. 31, so they should have called it the Nov. update.
Well, that might not be so auspicious, being Halloween here. November 5th is when we remember Guy Fawkes & co trying to blow up king and parliament and we let off fireworks, so that could be suitable too.
