    Hyper-V no sound


    Is there anyway to get sound with the various VM's that I have created in Hyper-V ?
    I am currently using it in 8.1 Pro.

    You need to connect using remote desktop or use enhanced session mode to get sound, usb etc.

    You are welcome. Did it work?

    There have been a few threads of people trying to run Windows 10 as a Hyper-V VM in windows 7 or 8 and complaining about sound, usb, webcam etc.

    I only have Windows 10 hosts so can't really confirm it works on old hosts but enhanced session mode (with sound, usb pass-through, iSight) works for me running 10 on a 10 host.

    I currently have my Hyper-V on my perm. system which is 8.1 Pro. It seems that a few are running on 10tp with no problems. I am thinking of doing that next month.

This is my first attempt at using Hyper-V. Installation in my Win 10 Pro worked well right up until I tried using the virtual machines sound. No sound device reported. I opened device manager the only option I could see was Audio inputs and outputs....
I have them both set up, but I don't seem to have any options to enable any sound in the hardware section of Hyper-V. Is it not possible to use these operating systems with sound? I used to use Windows Virtual PC 2007 and sound worked perfectly on...
