I was on vacation and while gone I put a password on my User account. Upon return I wanted to remove the password but I am unable to, the Credential manager is throwing me the following error when I try and open it:

I have run sfc with nothing found in error.

Credential Manager service is in Automatic mode.

Everytime I boot this machine, I get the little hamburger Icon informing me it can't connect to my NAS unit shares, maybe this is related to this issue. I'm pretty sure in the past I've been able to assign and remove my account password. I also do not have a MS Account, never have and don't want or need one.

Also if I go to Accounts, it shows my account, the only account. If I select Sign-in-options on the left, it just highlights it and hangs doing nothing. I am able to x off the window but cannot get Sin-in-options to come into play. See below:

I've looked around but have found nothing much that relates to my problem.

So - any help would be appreciated very much.
