Lockscreen Cannot be disabled when computer is waked.

The lock screen on my computer now would show the lock screen when I wake the PC from sleep. There would only be the lock screen and it would not ask for a password to login. I have already changed the windows settings to never require a password on wake in settings and also in the power plan. If I enable password required after wake, both the lock screen and login screen (password screen) would appear. Would there be a way to disable the lock screen from appearing every time at wake?

I have already tried changing the Microsoft.LockApp in SystemApps, adding a large lock screen timeout interval, and all of those "solutions" did not work for me.

Also, the PC i am having issues with is running Windows 10 Home, so I could not use the gpedit.

    Thanks.

Try Lockscreen Cannot be disabled when computer is waked.-snap-2017-01-29-09.49.41.jpg
    - free reliable tweaker with explanation.

Note: playing around with the lock screen can make it very difficult to get Spotlight (changing images from MS) working again.

Thanks for replying! But I just tried doing that and it did not help

Presumably you've done this (see reg file for Home edition)
Lock Screen - Enable or Disable in Windows 10

If you create a new user for test purposes, can you disable that user's lock screen?

Sorry for the late reply, but I've just tried creating a new user account and disabled password required after wake and it would still display the lock screen,

I can only wish you luck with that, other than suggesting an in-place upgrade repair install. But I hardly think you would wish to do that.

Someone else may have another suggestion, or you may find something yourself.
