Stuck on lock screen because of wrong keyboard layout win10

    Hello fellows,
Yesterday I set my Bulgarian keyboard layout to be the default one and my German to be the secondary. Then I shut down and today when I tried to log in, only the Bulgarian layout was enabled (Cyrillic letters) and I can't switch to the German layout (Latin letters). You guessed it - my password uses Latin chars . The key combinations Alt+Shift or Win+Space are not working. Password reset works only with pre-made passdisk or something like that (I haven't set one). I tried going to Troubleshoot mode, but couldn't find anything helpful there yet. Running the command prompt troubleshooting option gave me the opportunity to change the keyboard layout, enter my password and use the cmd prompt. There I tried to use the "control" command to set the keyboard layouts but it doesn't recognise the "control" command. Maybe I have to navigate somewhere else (default was system32).
I would greatly appreciate any help :)

    Thank you

Hi Hybritect, welcome to the Ten Forums.

You can change the input language used for sign-in from bottom right of the sign-in screen:

Hi, Kari, thanks for your attention. This option is not present on my lock screen. I suppose I somehow deleted the German keyboard layout so there isn't any to choose from (apart from Bulgarian apparently) :/ I switched on the On-Screen Keyboard but there weren't any options regarding the layout as well...

Are you using a local or a Microsoft account, and if MS account do you have the Two-Step Verification enabled?

It is a local account. There is no two-step verification set....

Unfortunately, this is only possible if a password reset disk is set before the problem appeared...

Apart of the system reset, reinstall or system restore, I have no ideas. You might want to post in the password reset tutorial to ask if reset is somehow possible without a reset disk. I doubt it, though.
