how to password protect on bootup

I hope someone can help.....I cannot seem to find the setting to get my laptop to ask for a password upon booting! Ive looked in the accounts setting and cant find anything. The nearest I have found is under the accounts/sign-in options/require sign in but I only have the option to choose 'never' or 'when pc wakes from sleep'.

Hello Rud, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If all accounts have a password added to them, then you should be required to sign in at startup by default unless you used the tutorial below to set Windows to automatically sign in to an account at startup.
