How to remove password at startup?

Everytime I turn on my PC, I get to a login screen, and either have to type in a password or a pin to login to my PC. I have already tried using netplwiz using Command Prompt with administrative privileges, with "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" unchecked. Under "Users for this computer:" I have ASPNET (Group: Users) and then my email address under that (Group: HomeUsers; Administrators.

+ R, type netplwiz <enter>, untick the "users must enter password box" and enter your password when prompted.

You are welcome. When it stops working (it does sometimes) just go back to netplwiz and toggle it off and then on again.

Hello Ix07 and forgive my intrusion, but I have the same W10 problem but a bit more complicated:

I did your recommendation here but found "users must enter password" box already unchecked yet I have to type my password even on it awakening. I really must get rid of it. I did it once and, as you said here, I tried going again to "toggle it off" but it doesn't prompt me to do anything and no space for me to type anything, only links at the bottom: "Add", "Remove" "Properties" are all greyed out anyway! I even dared try in "Advance" but nothing...

What to do please? Thanks ever so much for some guidance. :)

    Hello @Adela,

This can happen if the password was mistakenly entered incorrectly in netplwiz.

If you haven't already, check Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer, and click on Apply.

Afterwards, try setting up netplwiz again being sure to enter your password correctly.
