    Can log in to Windows (email code) but need password so I can reset it


    How do I change my Microsoft/Onedrive/Email (Hotmail and Outlook) passwords, which I have forgotten? Actually, I recently changed them and wrote them down but now I am informed they are incorrect. (My passwords aren't different on different computers are they?)
    Getting an email with a code gets me in but it is useless because I still don't know the password.

    When in Windows every option to change my passwords requires my password.

    Hi, for an MS live id account where the password has been forgotten, this is the guide:

    Considering Windows for a moment, many don't realise that even if you configure Windows to log in to an account automatically (no login prompt) or use a PIN or fingerprint/ Hello, the password remains the underlying key item and will still be required in particular situations.
