How to change forgotten password if netplwiz enables access

I have used netplwiz so I don't have to give a password to use the computer.
I would like to be able to change the forgotten password in case some future update requires it.
I just installed 1903 and it asked for a password. Fortunately, when I rebooted it didn't ask again for the password.
I am the only user of the computer. I know my Microsoft password but not the computer password.
I found where I can change the password but it requires entering the old, forgotten password.
How can I create a new password?

Create a new user account with administrator privileges. Log into the new administrator account. Use that account to reset the password on the first user account. You reset the first user account password in netplwiz.

Open the Command Prompt by typing cmd.exe into Start Menu, right-click on Cmd.exe, and open it as an administrator.

Execute below command and type in your new password.

    Code:
    Net user %UserName% *

LOL - never heard of netplwiz before today, and yet this is the second post on it today. Here's the first, and it may be of relevance to the OP - Change name of PC - Caution!. Particularly Kari's post (#2).

Wish I had seen posts #2 and 3 before I did what NavyLCDR said to do. Anyway, I got it done. I wasn't sure whether I could use my hotmail address or if I had to create a new User and email. I used my original email and steps after that were not what Bing said would come up--no option to set a new password. On the sign in, only my email appeared and not my real name as it normally does on my other computers. I went into netplwiz and deleted my old name (had to check the box).

In summary, my Microsoft email knew what my password was and with an email code to verify, I now have access to this computer if a password is ever required. (I had to remember to go back to netplwiz and uncheck the box!)

Yeah, sometimes there are myriad ways of solving an issue - some complicated some simple. Anyway you got the issue solved so that's good.

    Peace:)
