    Login prompt with several users

Hi. Trying to solve this problem. This PC has 2 users -an administrator and a child. The child doesn't want to be prompted for a password when logging in. The problem is, to change this, you need to log in as the administrator to change it. That means the administrator would not have a prompt either. So that defeats the purpose. What else can be done? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello gallicbear,

I suppose you could use a real simple password and/or PIN for the child account.

If you have a Windows Hello facial recognition camera or fingerprint reader, the child could easily sign in with either instead of a password or PIN.

Thanks, Brink. So I take it, it's not possible to have separate settings.

If the child's account is a local account, you could remove its password to no longer have to sign in to that account.

However, it may or may not automatically sign in to the child's account at startup if it was the last user when there's no password.

If it doesn't, then it's just a matter of clicking on the Sign-in button without needing to enter a password.
