Is there anyway you can go somewhere to get online like an internet café to reset your password then enter that one in and see if it works., or buy a dongle to get you back on line as that will load the drivers for you into the usb hub

All I can see is the enter password space, the connection icon (which says I am connected ) and the in on to shutout or restart my computer. I am using my iPad now and obviously it is connected to the signal.

You can enable the hidden admin account using bootable media and then command prompt. That will at least get you into your machine. This guide is for windows 7 but it should work for windows 10, note I have not tested this in 10 but have used it in windows 7.

    1. Boot from the DVD

    2. Click SHIFT+F10

    3. Type regedit and press enter

    4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

    5. File menu click Load Hive

    6. In the file name field type %windir%\system32\config\SAM and hit enter.

    7. Name the Hive Test. Click ok, If you have more than one partition and the file comes up prosess in use you need to navigate to the correct partition, windows\system32\config\SAM, Name the Hive Test. Click ok

    8. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\test\SAM\Domains\Account\Users\000001F4

    9. From the right side pane double-click the F entry.

    10. The line that starts with 0038 is what you want to edit. The value next to 0038 is 11, replace it with 10.

    11. Back in the Registry Editor, from the left side click on the name you gave to the hive you loaded earlier and from the file menu click unload Hive.

    12. From the File menu, restart the computer and you are done. The Administrator account is now enabled.

    13. To remove the admin account follow the steps again and put the 11 back.

thanks Bazz but, I don't have a CD as I downloaded Windows 10 from Microsoft online. Also I think it's the Microsoft Account password it wants.

A windows 7 disk will suffice and it will allow you access into your computer, you can then reset your password.

I'm having the same problem with my laptop. I ended up googling a way to add a new account so I can log in and copy files, but I wasnt able to change the password on the main account which is tied to MS online authentication. There doesnt seem to be a way to switch it either without being connected.

This sucks since the laptop wont let me revert back to win8 either.

If you know anyone with a windows 7 pc you can make a repair cd that will allow you access to the command prompt.
