I will be logged into live.com very every browser and most will end up seeing the same error page. Edge however not a problem but an instant arrival instead! And that was seen on a second system not even being logged into anything!

The latest Opera made it with ease! Pale Moon just made it as well. Anything Firefox or Firefox variant has a problem however. Waterfox, Cyberfox, Ice Weazel apparently another variant didn't make it.

I should also add Google Chrome to the list of the "DOs" without any "Incognito" anything! As soon as I pasted the url in it arrived immediately indicating FF and variants are the problematic browsers for the most part.

Hello Ninjutsu Welcome to the Ten Forums!

The Media Creation tool will download the November 12th Threshold 2 Update being the Version 1511 10586 build with the additional small updates added in up until a point. The 10586.168 would be what you would be seeing as far as the build number goes while still being the Threshold 2 update until July 29th when the second major update referred to as the "Redstone 1" update will be seen. That will be out on the first anniversary since the July 29, 2015 launch date for 10 that saw the 10240 build.

As for culmulative updates those will continue to arrive over time anyways regardless of build number. The MC tool simply will download the last dated version of the 10586 build presently seen while more loose updates will simply arrive as they are released. Windows 10 will no longer being seeing Service Pack type wrap ups of updates but how 10 works now is to update by upgrade into a newer build delivered by the Windows Update function.

Once you have a clean install of Windows seen to the best possible action would be to see to a full system image backup of the drive. That is an option to preserve what you have on as far as programs, files, etc. if a problem should come up rather then the need for a complete wipe and fresh start all over again since the latest updates that go on before a problem is seen will be preserved as well.

Actually as a clarification - you also have to redownload the media creation tool when a new build comes out eg first version of mct for 10240 could not download 10586.

We got lots of posts about this when 10586 first came out, and we will get them again when redstone comes out.

In simple terms for clarity - always download latest version of mct.

Which Techbench ISO download option do I need to upgrade to the UK version of W10 Pro from W8.1 Pro? I'm guessing it's "Windows 10" and "English" rather than "English International" - is that correct?
