The only thing that site didn't answer what the difference between Windows 10 and Windows 10 Single language. I assume it doesn't matter which one you use.

Hello Bindoksala, and welcome to Ten Forums.

The tool does a direct download. It's just that Microsoft servers are overloaded, and it may take longer than usual. I would recommend to try downloading during off peak hours for better download speeds.
I tried thrice with the tool but it was failing after some time first it stalled @7% second @52% and third @98%.

Then I tried downloading the ISO by changing the user agent in firefox and now the download is stalled @96%

    Hello Groze,

    Yes you can.

Can I reinstall Windows 10 on my computer after upgrading with free upgrade?

Once you’ve upgraded to Windows 10 using the free upgrade offer or Media Creation Tool on an activated Windows 7 or 8.1 PC, you will be able to reinstall, including a clean install, on the same device. You won’t need a product key for re-activations on the same hardware. If you make a meaningful change to your hardware, you may need to contact customer support to help with activation. You’ll also be able to create your own installation media like a USB drive or DVD, and use that to upgrade your device or reinstall after you’ve upgraded.
is this only if i upgraded while connected to the internet? or as in my case i have a PC that's NOT connected to the internet will it also be activated after upgrade THEN clean install

what i want to know is if i upgrade with a ISO i downloaded from Microsoft (downloaded on another PC) THEN i do a clean install will it be activated (all the while the PC was not connected even once to the internet)?

if you download the ISO - you can use that ISO to UPGRADE the non-internet pc
you MUST do it as an UPGRADE at first - to get a windows 10 activation..

After the windows 10 activation is recorded - then you can do a Clean Install on that PC..

If you want a clean install after you upgrade - the easiest way is to RESET your PC and save nothing..

    Reset Windows 10

    avismile10,

Yep, you'll need to be connected to the internet when you upgrade so that the activation on your PC can be registered to Microsoft activation servers.

    Hello VBs,

Yes, you should be able to as long as it's the same edition.
It's same edition Windows 7 Ultimate was upgraded to pro and i want to clean install pro edition.

I would like to ask another question does anyone know if it will work with different language install media of same edition windows 10? for example it was Japanese windows 7 and got updated to Japanese win 10 there is language packs so I install them but can I use for example US-en install media?

    VBs,

I haven't tried with a different language to verify, but usually it would just need to be the same language not to lose everything during an upgrade. This of course wouldn't matter for a clean install.
