Great news Mike. :)
Don't worry this won't get screwed up, like I said I've had this in my Windows 7 Pro for years, and updates have never messed it up.
So far in my Win 10 computer same thing, no problems. Rock solid, and looks prefect. :)
Shawn, all this works great. Thanks. Do you have any idea what this stupid shield thing is on some shortcuts. Not all, just some, and it's just annoying. This example is desktop shortcut to Macrium backup.
Hey Dick, :)
The yellow/blue shield overlay is for UAC to let you know that it will require administrator approval to "Run as administrator" when opened.
Which still drives me crazy Brink. Windows 10 should not be asking this in my opinion since I am the only user on my computers, and I AM the Admin. I even have UAC off. This is one of the bugs in windows 10 and I hope MickeySoft fixes this in one of our many updates to come. Actually we should see a new update today or tomorrow, seems like every Tuesday or Wednesday we get one. :)
Mike,
I'm afraid that UAC is here to stay since it's been a security feature since Windows 7.

Yes it has Brink I am still running Windows 7 Pro on my 2nd computer, NEVER have had any problems with UAC on any Windows 7 computer....ever. Only on our windows 10 is UAC giving users problems. To me this is a bug. I think it will be fixed in one of the future updates. I have gone into our Policy manger and turned off most of UAC's settings already. I just might check my registry too, I go into my registry a lot have for years, not scared to delete or change anything in their. Just make sure you have backups before you play. :)
I use Windows 10 Manager to take care of about everything.
I tried it for a few days a while back, but removed it after a few days, messed up my registry once, and that was the end of Windows Manager. I don't mind paying for a program that I like and trust, but when it screws my computer, no way. I also used to use Tweak for windows, its very much like your Windows manager, stopped using about 2 years ago. Prefer now to make the changes myself. Plus you have to upgrade every year and pay......don't like that much.
