How to Change Post Editor to Source or WYSIWYG Mode at TenForums.com

While editing your post here at www.tenforums.com , you can switch the editor between Source and WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) modes as needed.

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) mode allows you to see exactly how the post will look when posted while editing it.

Source mode allows you to see the BB Code for the formatting of the post's content while editing it. Source mode can be useful to copy and paste content into the post without including any formatting or images from where you copied the content from that may not look right if the incompatible formatting was included.

For example: Copying all text in a command prompt into a post will show in one single line if using WYSIWYG mode, but will paste into the post as seen in the command prompt if using Source mode instead.

This tutorial will show you how to switch between using Source and WYSIWYG mode in the post editor here at TenForums.com.

The timing and use of edit may be useful information:

For hyperlinks to work the quick reply area must be in source mode before the paste.
Pasting while in WYSIWYG mode then switching to source mode will result in text.

Posting paragraphs from notepad into source mode will result in one continuous line.
Posting paragraphs from notepad into WYSIWYG mode will maintain the paragraph.

To post hyperlinks and notepad paragraphs into the same post > use edit

Edit should allow the maintenance of both.

Always choose the applicable mode before the paste.
And for any post with both hyperlinks and notepad paragraphs use the edit feature.
