    Did you uninstall the Store or all apps from all users?

    If so, then this will not help. Instead you could do a repair install without losing anything.

    Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
    I only registered here to say THANK YOU. I was getting all those annoying errors, calc desappeared, store desappeared, etc. with version 1511 (10586)

    I used the same installation ISO and following the steps now everything is working fine Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH :)

    I had tried so many different methods (including Microsoft's website) without success, including having to do a System Restore after failed attempts.
    So,

    In my case, I think it was a Windows update that broke the Store two months ago, because it happened shortly after that update and I didn't change anything in my system.

    Symptoms are the following: the store opens, it lists the apps that can be updated, but during the process it displays the wrong download's size (like 0,1 MB, 0,5 MB, etc...) and eventually it always shows error 0x80073CF9, which is not a very useful help since it is a general error code.

    Let me say that I've already tried dozens of solutions found on the internet, including (but not limited to):

    1) WSReset.exe
    2) Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Store (cannot reinstall due to the same issue, had to restore from backup)
    3) Tried with a newly administrator account
    4) Tried with the elevated administrator account
    5) Tried disabling Comodo Firewall and Avast antivirus, tried with only Windows Firewall enabled
    6) Tried with Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2016.29.13.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
    7) Tried with PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"
    8) Tried cleaning Windows Update cache
    9) Tried manually deleting Store cache
    10) Tried changing from Microsoft account to a local account and viceversa
    10) Tried everything else I or you could find on the internet, I can't even remember all the other methods and solution I tried.

    Please note that #7 is the command suggested in this thread. This is the log PowerShell returned after the failure:

    It seems that this AppLocker is the culprit, I have Win 10 x64 Home. Please, do you have any ideas or at least an explanation of what's happening? I'll leave an in-place upgrade as a last resort, I would like to hear your opinion first! Thanks!

    Usually in situations like that, a repair install (in-place upgrade) is the only thing left to fix it without losing anything.

    Thank you Brink! Since I think that this issue came with a Windows Update, I'll wait until Redstone is released, just to see if it will resolve the problem. If it doesn't, I'll proceed with an in-place upgrade.

    One question anyway: when I first installed Windows 10, it was a fresh install from ISO. It was Windows 10 v1511 (the so called November Update). If I update to Redstone, and then perform a restore, preserving files and programs (as I'm planning to do), which Windows version will result after the restore? The "original" 1511 (with subsequent download of updates) or the Redstone version?

    If you mean for a system restore, then it'll be for what it was when the restore point was created.

    Ah, ok. A reset will normally be for the same build that you currently have installed.

    A reset will be the same as a clean install though. Nothing will be preserved.
