Tried the repair upgrade again, computer turned itself off again and restored the previous version. Is there anything that could be stopping or blocking it from doing the repair upgrade?
I disabled AVG antivirus and the firewall this time, and then it went back to the 2014 version, so now, how do i go forward to the 2015 version that was there, i paid for it

    Hello sekhmet, :)

You should be able to reinstall the 2015 version as before to get it back.

What error message did repair install give you?

That just indicates the HP software is not compatible with Windows 10.

How does the HP program run now since you are already running Windows 10?

You might also see if you could uninstall the HP program from "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel. You may need to restart the computer first to clear the previous error though.

I didn't mention the Computer Manufacturer, yes you've guessed it, its HP
It was ok until it got the Windows 10 1511 update, i'm sure of it.
But that would probably explain the computer health coming up in the events log.
What do i do now? Should you go back to a previous build? And what would that do?

I'd try to uninstall the HP program in Programs and Features.

It won't let me take it out in normal mode, would i be able to get rid of it in safe mode?

Another issue, the biometric functionality, came up when i turned the computer on this morning. Had to logon without it, i don't have any finger printing stuff or eye logons, i don't even have a webcam on it.
Do i need to get somebody out to look at it?

    sekhmet,

You might consider doing a clean install at boot instead to be able to start fresh. Afterward, you can reinstall drivers from your PC manufacturer for your computer model, and reinstall and programs you wanted.
