Hello David,
I added a downloadable .bat file option to the tutorial to help. :)
Hi Brink,
I downloaded the .bat file, right clicked on the file in my downloads folder. Checked properties GENERAL TAB there was no "unblock" box to check. Double clicked on the .bat file. Powershell opened it ran something with blue and yellow colors (which did not take long). Then it stated C:\Users\david_000\Downloads > pause Press any key to continue.
When I press any key Powershell closes. Does this sound correct? I might need to use my Administrator account to do this, the download asked for my Admin password to complete the download.
Hey David,
That's how it's suppose to work. It can be ran in any account that you need to re-register the Store in. I just added the pause in the .bat file to be able see what it did. :)
I do not want to confuse anyone DO NOT USE ANYTHING below. This is FYI to Brink. (Thanks 4 .bat file)
A Microsoft employee told me to run the following in Command Prompt (Admin).
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.XML
And here is the result.
David, the command in the tutorial basically runs the same command you posted, but using a different method that works. :)
OK someone more qualified than me will assist soon. What I see in your image is the " = " symbol is not recognized. There is a problem with your command input. I don't know the correct command for this item. Brink will know how to help.
PS It also helps to crop the bottom off of an image like yours, bottom is empty blue screen. Smaller size equals better resolution.
When posting an image double click on it (green arrow) then you can decide on what size to post (2 red arrows - below is full size) or change alignment. i will send brink a private message to see if he can help with your problem.
