In other words, it is possible to disable the automatic updates feature without automatically disable the possibility to choose whether or not to update even other Microsoft products? If so, how do I do this?

    Thanks

    Bye

    Balubeto,

Unless you enabled some other group policy, the "Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows" setting is not affected by anything in the tutorial on the first page.

You should still be able to check or uncheck it like below at will.

No, that's incorrect. If you use Group Policy, the "Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows" option can no longer be changed and will be greyed-out.

It doesn't do so for me, even after a restart.

Just did a clean install of Windows 10 Anniversary Update in a VM, updated to .351. Then, I used Group Policy to disable automatic updates. Restarted the computer. Now, it is greyed-out. Have you made any other Group Policy changes?

Also: have you clicked the "Check for updates" button? That is what applies the Group Policy.

    No changes.

I clicked on "Check for updates" and even restarted, and the setting doesn't get grayed out for me.

Which build are you using? Your entire "Advanced options" page looks different from mine.

    I'm using Insider build 14955.

Which build are you using? I'll do some testing in it.
