It may still be there and you can configure it, but it does not seem to be working...
Hi.. Maybe it's time for a 'Clean install' or an 'Repair and Inplace upgrade'.
Are you on the previuos 10586 non Insider build or are you on the Insiders 14393?... are you looking for the Anniversary update?...*john

    Hello Gunzorla, :)

I find that using OPTION FOUR to set your Internet connection as metered works best to disable automatic updates in Windows Update.

I am using Group Policy in Anniversary Update. It appears to be working because it has not checked for days, BUT I no longer get visual confirmation in the Settings app. No red text or grayed out menu. Can someone confirm?

Defender is turned off, so I should be getting nothing as this point.

Time will tell, but like SmileyPK I am not getting a visual confirmation that the policy to stop auto updates is working in the Anniversary Update.

I believe the Group Policy is working because my PC last checked for updates days ago whereas it would check at least once per day without the GP. However, I believe we need to submit feedback to Microsoft that there needs to be visual confirmation so we don't wonder.

Hi...Why is Defender turned off?. I hope you are not using any third party anti-virus software because Windows 10 does not like them ... and does not require it ...Defender and MalwareBytes is quite adequate...
Third party anti-virus programs are common for upgrade issues.
My lone 10586 non insiders build has not recieved the new Anniversary update yet...but I will continue to wait for it...I made the 14393 ISO and can upgrade anytime if necessary.
