    Hello Drugo,

Does the blue note box at the top of this tutorial apply to this situation?

It sounds like you need to refresh or reset Windows. Personally, I would recommend a clean install with the latest Windows 10 TH2 version 1511 build 10586 installation media.

Hi Brink , do you mean ?
If you manually check for updates, then the updates will always be automatically downloaded and installed.

Does this happen if you don't manually check for updates, and let Windows automatically check for updates and hopefully then notify you when any are available to install?

It will always do so when you manually check. How about when you don't? Does it notify you then?

As a test, don't click on the "Check for updates" button. Doing that will have them always automatically download and install.

Instead, wait to let Windows automatically check for updates to see if Windows will notify you when you have any available to install. When this happens, you should see them listed with a "Install" button instead when you open Windows Update.
