I was also continually receiving the 'can't find the source' message whenever I ran DISM, I read through all of Brink's tutorial & what worked for me was downloading Windows 10 iso from Tech Bench & following the advice on how to run DISM with that.

This seems to be the only error in my CBS file, and it is repeated several times: "Could not reproject corrupted file [l:20 ml:21]"\??\C:\WINDOWS\fonts"\[l:11]"YuGothR.ttc"; source file in store is also corrupted"

    Now what?

    Hello jsexton, :)

That shows that your YuGothR.ttc font file is corrrupted in the Fonts folder and the component store (source).

If you don't use this font, then you can safely ignore it.

    Hi,

    I have the dreaded....

    Error: 0x800f081f
"The source files could not be found"

I've read through the thread and have a grasp of the concepts/work arounds but wanted to try the easiest way first...
which would be to download Windows 10 ISO from tech bench..

but the links appear to be dead.
Can anyone point me to where I can download it ?

    thanks,

    marbles

    Hello marbles, :)

Keep trying the ISO link every so often to see it may work later. MS servers are pretty busy right now with the W10 Anniversary Update.

    No Brink,

the download page is plain gone.

trying to do it any other way is a nightmare for us newbs.

    we need that link back..

all other methods discussed have gaps in the instructions

image health tool for eg: i can't find any clear (complete) instructions re it's usage in this procedure.

It is quite dead, right now..... Brink is correct, they are very busy with Anniversary Update preparations. Also, it is Sunday early morning here in the U.S. No excuse, but it is a common time for companies to do system maintenance. You'll just have to be patient, it will be back.

i found a working link for the Tech Bench ISO which i downloaded but it still doesn't work..

sfc /scannow = found corrupt files it could not repair.
cleanup-Image /Scanhealth = said component store is repairable.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth = said Error: 0x800f081f The source files could not be found....

i re-downloaded the Tech Bench ISO but it's the same.
    Windows 10 Pro x64
    Ver. 1511
    OS Build 10586.494

    i downloaded from option:
    Windows 10 - Threshold 2 - April 2016
    Windows 10 Home or Pro
language _ English (as i have "en-US English (United States)" in PowerShell)
    i selected x64

i mounted the ISO and can query it successfully from an elevated Command prompt for commands like:
    dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:H:\sources\install.wim /index:1

    but "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:J:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess" can't find the file.

i'm def using the correct drive letter (assigned when ISO mounted)

i tried IMAGE HEALTH (command no.3) and it mounts the ISO (i don't know how it finds it but it does)
this also fails with the same error message re "the source files cannot be found"
do i need to put the ISO file in a specific location ?

did i download the wrong ISO ?
if so how do i know which one is the correct one ?

    thanks for any assistance

    Marbles,

Before we go to the next level, please go ahead and post your sfcdetails.txt file to see what SFC found is corrupted. Sometimes it's nothing to worry about. :)
