How to Add or Remove Share Settings Page in Windows 10

Windows 10 Settings has a hidden Share page in Settings -> System that allows you to configure sharing options of UWP (Universal Windows Platform) apps.

UWP apps that you have turned on to use for sharing files will be listed as an available option in the Share charm when you use the Share button in the Share tab of the File Explorer ribbon.

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the Share Settings page for your account in Windows 10.

Here's How:
Note   Note
The .reg files below will add and modify the DWORD value in the registry key below.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel

EnableShareSettings DWORD

(delete) = Remove
1 = Add



1. Do step 2 (add) or step 3 (remove) below for what you would like to do.


 2. To Add Share Settings Page

A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

 3. To Remove Share Settings Page

NOTE: This is the default setting.

A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

Remove_Share_Settings_page.reg

4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

6. If prompted, click on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

7. If Settings is currently open, then close and reopen to apply.

8. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
