Hello I'm new. A very useful thread with some helpful information, but if I may say so respectfully, I've given up on the Windows 10 Mail app, much the same as the majority of these dodgy apps that don't really work and are a disgrace to MS. No offence, but this Mail app is dangerous as far as missing important emails goes. It keeps crashing, and they've recently messed about with it again. It's just (i.m.o.) not worth the bother. Much easier and quicker to sign in and get my mail through a browser.

Hello JPH, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Personally, I prefer Outlook 2016, but the Mail app is good for a basic email client.

Yeah, it's OK - but as I recently discovered it's a strictly *online* mail reader. No import of existing mails, and no local sync copy - so you'd be better off reading your mails in a browser window. Most browsers don't crash as often!
