    Hey Brink,
I just did the "How to Add or Remove Windows Defender context menu in Windows 10" a few minutes ago and works great! Thanks for this perk. Keep up the good work you're doing here on the forums and have a good evening!" :)

    You're welcome.
Both programs are great, I've been using them both for a long time and never a problem.
I use them with the built-in Windows Defender and have not had any bug's get in.

    Hello Gary, :)

Yep, this context menu is mostly for making it easier to open and perform full/quick scans with Windows Defender, but the tutorial below is for that instead.

Can you tell me how to remove the original context menu entries as the removal registry file that you posted does not work. Windows 10 Home, fully updated, so I have the new MS provided context menu entry. Thanks

EDIT: Seems like the registry key specified in your original reg files is now invalid. I found the 'Brink' entries with regedit - they were here: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\WindowsDefender] rather than here: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\WindowsDefender]

    Now removed successfully.

The tutorial has been updated to add a Windows Defender "Offline Scan" option to the context menu. :)
