How to Enable or Disable Projecting to this PC in Windows 10

The Projecting to this PC feature uses the Connect app to allow you to wirelessly project your Windows Phone, another PC, or Android devices to the screen of this PC, and use its keyboard, mouse, and other devices too.

Starting with Windows 10 build 14328, there is separate settings available for Projecting to this PC if your PC has Wi-Fi.

Windows PCs and phones can project to your PC when you say it's OK.

This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the ability to project to this PC for all users in Windows 10.

You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to enable or disable projecting to this PC.

Starting with Windows 10 version 2004, Projecting to this PC requires having the Wireless Display optional feature installed.

Hello TEJESHVEEBEE, and welcome to Ten Forums.

What build of Windows 10 do you currently have installed?

    Find Windows 10 Build Number

I checked in the latest Windows 10 version 2004 build 10941.264 to see if anything may have changed, but the group policy is still there for me.

If supported, Projecting to this PC is enabled by default in Windows 10. I suppose for now, you could try using option 2 to set via registry instead though.

Do you have the settings in option 1 below to turn on Projecting to this PC?

After updating to 2004 projecting to this PC may not necessarily be enabled. The Wireless Display is now an optional feature and may need to be added. Check for that in Settings > System > Projecting to this PC.

    Hello mate,

You might check on the device you are trying to project to see if there may be a setting or prompt you have to approve to allow it to be projected to.
