Thank you. I don't really want to install them (Windows apps). I just don't know why I can't search for word, excel, etc.
Word and Excel are part of the Office desktop program, and not Store apps.

If installed, you should see them as Office in "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel.

I do have them installed. I created another account for windows and search seems to work properly for all apps. I guess I'll move to that account and remove windows apps one by one.

    Thanks for your tutorials!

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm wanting to uninstall all of the apps except the store. However, I can't seem to get your Option 4.4 section to work. "To Remove All Apps except Store from New Accounts Created Afterwards". Running Windows 10 v1607.

Hello Holmium, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Just to verify, if you wanted to remove all apps but Store from all existing accounts on the PC, you would want to use step 5 in Option 4 instead.

The error you got indicates that you opened Windows PowerShell (x86) instead of Windows PowerShell. Running the command in an elevated Windows PowerShell instead should do the trick for you.

Thanks mate, I'm new to powershell. Opening it as you suggested had the desired effect. Thanks!

Wise Program Uninstaller has just added the feature of uninstalling some of the Universal Windows Apps.
A nice touch, especially for people, who prefer to avoid using CMD or do not have powershell, like me.

Using these PS commands in CMD

    Hi there,
thank you for this wonderfull tuto :)
I have a specific demand, because I want to do things in my own way

Opening PS without Restricted policy --> Done
    Typing Get-AppxPackage *name* | Remove-AppxPackage --> Done. And it works ! :)
Creating a uninstall-apps.ps1 script with many lines and executing it in PS with C:\Users\Govi\uninstall-apps.ps1 --> Done. And it works !

Now, I would like to execute my uninstall-apps.ps1 script from cmd or from a .bat script (back to old black cmd windows <3)... But it doesn't work...
    I tried :
    powershell.exe C:\Users\Govi\uninstall-apps.ps1
    powershell.exe -noexit C:\Users\Govi\uninstall-apps.ps1
    powershell.exe -noexit "& 'C:\Users\Govi\uninstall-apps.ps1'"
    powershell.exe -noexit -file "C:\Users\Govi\uninstall-apps.ps1"

    and many others...
    none of theese line work.
With other commands in the .ps1 script, such as Write-Host Hello world!, it works... But not the command I want.

Eventually, is there a way to execute this batch PS script from cmd or a .bat script ?

    Thank you very much !

EDIT : I continued trying and it worked from a .bat script ! I don't know why it doesn't work from the cmd directly, but the .bat script with powershell C:\Users\Govi\uninstall-apps.ps1 works perfectly.

In-place 1511 to 1607 today, gave me reason to try Option Two. Thanks!
