In that case, you may need to clean install instead.

Hi! I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 free without a clean install, and after about a week I'm having trouble, it often is quite slow ... the question is ... if you restore Windows 10 following the second option, that is, eliminating all data, so I'll lose my license and enter the serial number? Tell me no because I do not have any code.
Appearance answers! Thank you in advance!

Hello Alex, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

No. You will not lose your activation since your PC is registered on Microsoft activation servers for the free Windows 10 offer.

If you like, you could try doing a repair install first instead to see if it may sort your issues without losing anything.

I thank you have been very kind, but I think I'll do a restore one hundred percent! I will make a backup of all my data and I will get to new install all the programs, there is no problem ... the important thing is that after the PC is fast enough and that I should not enter any code to Windows 10! one last thing ... the operating system updates I'll have to redo them all over again? Thanks again! :)

Yeah, I'm afraid that you'll need to install Windows Updates again afterwards.

I hope this installation will run smoother for you. :)
