By the way,
if anyone has any clue as to which dll that folder icon resides in, by all means, please chime in! :)

I followed the instructions at the beginning of this thread, but my "properties" window does not have a "customize" tab. Anyone know what is going on? I have Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit.
Hello cgb, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)
What folder is this for, and what is it's location?
Folders included in a library will not have a Customize tab.
cgb,
Here's how you can change the icon of a folder included in a library: :)
1. Right click on the folder in the library, and click on Open folder location.
2. You can now follow the tutorial to change the icon of the target folder. It will automatically get applied in the library as well.
